This project began with a compact cottage annex that was suffering from years of neglect — damp patches, mould growth and minimal insulation. Our clients wanted to breathe new life into the space and create a clean, comfortable environment that could be used year-round and offer multi-generational use. After a full strip-out, we tackled structural and thermal issues, installed brand-new insulation, and addressed moisture control from the ground up.

With the core issues resolved, we turned our attention to the finish — giving the annex a fresh, contemporary feel while keeping its character intact. New energy-efficient, modern fixtures and fittings, and careful joinery throughout have completely transformed the space. Now light-filled, warm and ready for long-term use, this renovated cottage is a perfect example of how thoughtful renovation can bring even the most tired spaces back to life.
